  1. Hey Colleen! I am writing on your comment wall for the extra credit blog comments. When I first saw your name on the roster for this class, I was ecstatic to know someone else in the class. I just wanted to say thank you for all of your helpful comments on my stories. They have been constructive and encouraging, so thank you for that! I hope all is well and your internship in Kansas this Christmas break went very smoothly.

  2. Hi there, Colleen! I just wanted to saw Thank you for any comments that you have left on my posts and/or comment wall. They have been very positive and kind. I hope you have found my comments helpful and nice as well. I really do like the layout of your page and I also think your Corgi is adorable. I also like how you put your tweets on your comment wall page. I don't use Twitter very much, if at all, so it's very interesting to me how it all works. The only social media I use regularly is FaceBook. Lol
I hope you have a good rest of the evening, plus I hoe the rest of your semester goes great! Take care!

  3. Hi Colleen,

I really enjoyed reading your storytelling post entitled "Tortoise's Tragic Demise in North England." It was a creative way to retell the story, and I must say that I was struck by its clever originality. Most of all, I appreciated how you wrote it in the form of an obituary (I think the last sentence makes me think that), and an intriguing one, at that. It would be quite a pleasant surprise if more obituaries looked this way!

Anyhow, I only noticed a few minor details in punctuation, but that's really it. Sometimes at the end of a quote, you typed a period instead of a comma. For instance, near the top of the story one of the sentences ends as follows: "'…when he came down with a cold.' said Darla." The quote could be better punctuated if the period after "cold" were replaced with a comma.

However, this is very minor! I'm working on improving my punctuation with quotations, so perhaps I just noticed it because of that. Nice job with this story! Very creative and smooth writing.

  4. Hi Colleen,

Thanks for your very constructive comment on my Storybook project a few weeks ago! I knew my website design was missing something, and I think you were correct to say that it was color that it lacked. While I haven't yet changed this, I think it will be a great addition.

Also, I'm glad the "illogical and unscientific" bit stuck out to you. I think it's how we often deal with illness, and it's fascinating to think of the explanations that people create to explain biological pathologies. I hope you'll return to my storybook to read more!

    Thanks, again.

    Best,

    Cole

  6. Colleen, I appreciate you leaving feedback on my storytelling posts throughout the semester so far. It is always good to get feedback from other people. I noticed you said that snakes freak you out from one of my stories. Snakes are, without a doubt, my biggest fear haha. Thanks again!
