Sir Guyon: Wow. I mean these are true fairy tale beginnings. A prince and a noble sir travel across the lands and fight bad guys to protect those who have been hurt. Sir Guyon and Prince Author have a fight, over a girl of course. The story explains that the men fought not our of anger, but to prove their masculinity. That sounds about right, event today.
Britomart's Quest: Britomart's nurse suggests that she could dress in heavy armor and disguise herself, so that she can fight in battles. The nurse even help the princess in battle by being her squire. I really liked this story. Total girl power!

The Castle of the Churl Malbecco: I'm really glad I chose this reading unit. It's so cool and easy to read. Britomart finds herself riding through a great storm of hail and mighty winds. She asks to be let into the nearest castle she can see, but the owner of the castle is selfish and never lets in strangers. Britomart and other knights, who were also denied entrance, band together to punish Malbecco. After threatening the castle walls with fire, Malbecco allowed the to enter. The knights took of their wet clothes and everyone saw the golden locks of Britomart.
I really really liked these stories! I'm really glad I decided to do the extra reading diary.
