Reading Diary A: Welsh Fairy Book (Thomas)

My father's side of the family is Welsh, so I thought it would be applicable to read some Welsh Fairy Tales.

Arthur in the Cave: I really liked this story. The dialogue was intertwined perfectly into the events of the story. I like the story that unfold about an extremely historical character, like King Arthur. Im also glad I read the Author's Note about the kites as a type of birds.

Why the Red Dragon is the Emblem of Wales: Okay so despite this being a marathon read, it was really interesting. The imagery that surrounded the battle scene was really good. Historically, this was a really interesting and enlightening story. There were also a lot of new characters that were introduced.

Bala Lake: I've actually been to this lake! One year when I was about fifteen we spent two days in Wales in the summer. We went to a big national park pretty much in the center of Wales. This was a really cool story to read because I had seen it in real life. It actually would have been even cooler to have read this story before I went.
